The large garden area is a delight for garden lovers.
The Linden cottage garden is designed to encourage a reconnection with nature. Its transformation of lawn to garden beds in its early days has been a continuous system to build soil, expand and introduce new ideas of design to compliment the space.
With a blend of edible and ornamental plant design, the garden is both welcoming and intriguing. Its combination of wild and cottage semi-formal design includes mass plantings of seasonal plants alongside perennial choices, interrupted with hedging of favourites such as lavender, rosemary and thyme. Tall waving grasses sweep along adding height, texture and colour.
A haven for birds and insect pollinators, part of the garden’s interest is the many small visitors regular and seasonal. The usual and familiar magpies, rosellas, to the tiny beautiful hummingbirds, and finches.
Come, relax, disconnect and unwind. Enjoy an evening stroll or a wander in the garden. Watch the honeyeaters in the late afternoon dart around feeding on salvia flowers, followed by an evening beverage on the verandah to watch the sun set over the gorge.
The kitchen window captures the morning sun first thing and looks out onto the backyard.

A very short walk from the cottage down the hill leads you to a viewing platform which provides good views of Newtown Falls and the Newtown Bridge which was constructed from granite in 1874.
Beechworth's commercial centre includes a series of elegant buildings and historic shop-fronts, many dating back to the 19th century. The post office was built in 1869, the former Bank of Victoria dates back to 1857, and there are several historic hotels and churches located in the town centre.
A popular holiday spot for visitors, Beechworth bridges the gap between new and old-world tourism, making it a unique place worth checking out!

"Its my hope to create a stay that guests will enjoy the space I have created. My interests and passion have led me to the place where I am now in this moment.
The journey of reconnecting to my Slovenian roots has taken me here. The house and garden continue to evolve, as I too am evolving.
I absolutely love garden design and making spaces enjoyable.
I am delighted to share this with all who enter down the path of my cottage."
